September-November this is a nursery for baby Gray Reef Sharks. Schools of juvenile sharks, 10 inches in length accompanied by an adult female, patrol the water at around 100 feet.
To see the Chambered Nautilus, it is necessary to organize a tour with Kevin at Sam's. Nautilus live in depths exceeding 600 feet and are trapped at night. After an opportunity to see & photograph them, they are released to return to the deep. Nautilus are found only near the equator and prefer near freezing water temperatures. They are believed to not have changed in over 400 million years
